Dear Mr. Maginnis,
Re: Your defense of the slow “correction” of the Jesus scopes.
You don’t know what it’s like on the ground with the front line troops in Afghanistan, yet your defense (which comes across in parts like an appeal) is that if there were problems at the junior enlisted level in the field (e.g., from in-country citizens, Afghani soldiers & militia, etc., being concerned about Jesus rifles) that somehow the Field Grades would quickly learn about it and some flash would go to the Pentagon (which you claim to monitor).   Such a stance is vaguely reminiscent of the 5 o’clock follies used in Saigon years ago.
The Field Grades in VN sent the Pentagon “no problem” glowing reports for years and years . . . then the Field Grades retired and South Vietnam fell.  The Field Grades were sending the Pentagon glowing reports about progress in Iraq all the way up to the day that Gen. Petraeus took over & ultimately changed the strategy there.

Are you just throwing darts?
