Published On: April 22, 2010|Categories: MRFF's Inbox|5 Comments|

As a member of the MAJORITY, I say to you—“SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP”.  We Christians have the right to worship as we please.

This country was built on Christian values, if you do not like them PLEASE feel free to leave.  Iraq, Iran, and mant others would be glad to have you.

I agree and I believe “Mikey” has bitten off more than he can chew. To begin with our military shouldn’t have public opinions so there should not be any issue, we need to address that. Secondly, since Mikey started it by stating HIS opinion, lets take a close look at this organization, their tax standing, who supports them and possible administration affiliations, etc.. Mikey may have done us a favor, now lets shine the light on them. Thanks Mikey

As a member of the MAJORITY, I say to you—”SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP”.

Ahhh… and what ‘majority’ might that be?… morons? I sense a ‘teaching moment’ here…. something you don’t know. That is… our system of government was designed to PREVENT a ‘tyranny of the majority’.

We Christians have the right to worship as we please.

Of course you do… everybody does. But you do not have the right to worship WHERE you please… and the government does not have the right to enact that promotes religion.

This country was built on Christian values, if you do not like them PLEASE feel free to leave.

Christian values, huh? Which values are those?… gullibility, self-deception, self-delusion, willful ignorance, irrationality, intellectual dishonesty, lies, hypocrisy, and toxic, drooling stupidity?

Look… here’s another ‘teaching moment’. What you think of as ‘Christian values’, like freedom of speech and freedom of religion, are not ‘Christian values’ at all; rather, they are evil, non-canonical, heretical, blasphemous, Satanic ideals… along with other abominations, like ‘human rights’… that were hatched in the vile, diabolical, ‘Enlightenment’, and the ‘Age of Reason’. The Christ-cult fought tooth and nail AGAINST the institution of such ideals, for it is those ideals which ultimately caused Christianity to LOSE the political that had previously allowed them to eliminate dissent and the intrusion of new (non-canonical) ideas via torture, terror, intimidation and murder.

There is NOT ONE BIT of our foundational law or statutes that comes from the Christ-cult, Jesus, Judaism, or any part of the bible. It comes from Greek Law, Roman Law, and English Common Law… and inspiration for the form of the Constitution came from the Constitution of the Iroquois Confederation.

    DuckPhup,

“teaching moment”- Our form of government was designed to prevent the sort of government they fled in Europe. Nowhere in the constitution does it explicitly state “seperation of church and state”. That was invented by activist judges and liberal politicians. You are sadly missinformed if you think this country was not founded on principles based on christian faith as well as roman law and british common law and many other as models. You need to pickup a book and read again if you missed that section.

As to your assesment of Christian values you are nothing more than any other run of the mill detractor. You insult and tear down and think that makes you look smarter or better than those you are targeting.. Here is the truth: Christians like any other religion have done horrible things at one point or another in the name of God. This i will not dispute. Calling them any of the names you listed however is childish and unfounded. Many of this countries greatest minds shared in a christian faith. Maybe you are an aethist….if that is the case it takes more faith in my mind to believe this world was formed through a bang and a series of mutations and adaptations than it does to believe in intelligent design. In the end either choice is FAITH. You have yours i have mine. We will see who is right

The country was founded by the Declaration of Independence, written by Thomas Jefferson, who was not a Christian. He was a deist. He did not believe in the divinity of Jesus or in prayer.
He also refused to issue prayer proclamations when he was president. And Thomas Jefferson explained the meaning of the first amendment as creating a “wall of separation between church and state.”

As for the Christian heritage of this country, think witch-burning, murdering native Americans, slavery, segregation, denying equal rights to women, racial and religious minorities, and gays. Not a heritage to be proud of……

The purpose of this site sickens me. It’s an affront to the people of this country. It’s half baked, half truth, fear mongering. Preying on those who have not read and understood history and the governing documents of this coutry. Please remember that fear mongering is how people like Hitler came in to power. A really good quote to remeber is “those who forget history are most apt to repeat it.”

    In respect to the writing of the Constitution;
A man named Gouverneur Morris of Pennsylvania was in charge of the committee to draft the final copy of the Constitution. Other men who had much to do with writing the Constitution included John Dickinson, Gouverneur Morris, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Thomas Paine, Edmund Randolph, James Madison, Roger Sherman, James Wilson, and George Wythe. Morris was given the task of putting all the convention’s resolutions and decisions into polished form. Morris actually “wrote” the Constitution. The original copy of the document is preserved in the National Archives Building in Washington, D.C.

In respect to the Chistian heritage of this country; the bottom line is read your history. Yes, things like the witch trials were in the name of Christianity, but were usually in reality about greed or revenge. The most famous, the Salem Witch Trials were about teenage girls wanting revenge on some memebers of the community. Unfortunately, Chritianity has been used as an excuse to encite support for non Christian acts. It’s something that as a Christian I’m not proud of. On the same line, there isn’t a religion on the planet where the same thing can’t be said about. Most wars throughout history have been in the name of one diety or another. Even wars like WWI.

In respect to the right to worship. Read the constitution. Freedom of religion means I can worship anywhere or any faith I choose where, when and what without the fear of prosecution by the Government (unless, someone is doing something obviously against the common good of the community, like sacrifice). The Constitution states seperation of church and state is that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof . . .”. this does not mean that Government buildings can’t display a cross or the ten commandments or something from the Koran. It means that they can’t mandate you worship a certain religion.
