Dear Mikey:

Just read Matthew Harwood’s piece and wanted to voice my wholehearted support for your family and your fight. I’m so sorry the crazies are after you. One would like to think that calm rationality could prevail in any argument but religion’s just not like that. As a gay man from a fundamentalist family, I know how it feels to have all the bent cards stacked against you.Thank you for your dedication. If there’s ever anything you might need from a pianist/composer with AIDS, please let me know. A sample of my work is here.
