Dear Mr. Weinstein:
Thank you for your work and your courage. I just read your story through Truthout.
“Religion” in the form of fundamentalist extremism is one of the most dangerous and evil forces on the planet, be it Islam or Christian. Fanatic adherence to any dogma is tough to fight because those you are fighting sincerely believe that they are right and just. That “we are right, everyone else is wrong and going to Hell” was the first of many things that turned me away from my Baptist upbringing as I matured and thankfully learned to think for myself.
I fear that the Dominionists et al will create their self-fulfilling prophecy and inevitably lead us to an apocalyptic end. Perhaps your efforts will delay that a bit.
