Bibles placed in military barracks

Dear Military Religious Freedom Foundation:

I’ve just arrived for a military school at Ft. Eustis. As I was settling into my room in the barracks I found a Bible “placed by the Gideons”. I know these are found in just about every civilian hotel room, but this is not a civilian hotel. I’m not sure if every room in this barracks has them or if it’s even permissible to plant them here (I suspect it isn’t).

Any info or advice on this would be appreciated. I know Eustis has had some recent issues regarding proselytizing and wonder if this is another symptom of the larger problem.

Thanks
