I just wanted to write you a short email to tell you my appreciation for you speaking out about the NY Park 51 controversy. We need more people like you to stand up for our Constitutional Rights. I cannot believe that so many people are actually opposed to the building. It really makes me sad to think that my 15 months spent in Iraq was for the war on terrorism but we have so many Americans with a terrorist mind set about this issue. We are fighting the terrorists because of hate and intolerance, but that is exactly what is being shown by the people opposing this Muslim Community Center. There were hundreds of Muslim Americans who died on 9/11 and there are hundreds of Muslim U.S. Soldiers fighting against terrorism. Hopefully they will not choose to end plans for Park 51. Hopefully some good will come out of this in the end.
