Mikey, I have read your rant over the building of a Mosque in New York. Would
you explain for me what compels the leader of the Military Religious Freedom
Foundation to use a MRRF news letter as a means to express a personal view
on a matter outside of the preview of MRRF. Like me if you choose to rant on a
matter not relevant to MRRF then just stand in front of a mirror and do so. I doubt
anyone would object to a personal email on the subject of objections to the Mosque,
and I will bet that I am the only one objecting to your incredibly bad behavior lighting
up on MRRF news letter.

Mikey, For your information 70% of Americans are of the view that the Mosque should
not be built in its close proximity to ground zero. I don’t care who you think are the
objectors but you have not covered all bases in your downright smart ass language
about objectors. You believe that Muslims have a constitutional right to build a
place for their worship even in New York City near what many Americans believe is sacred
ground because in part the destruction of the twin towers helped spark a war. It just
so happens Americans have a constitutional right to voice their disagreement. about the
location of the Mosque.

Along with abhorring your rant especially using a MRRF news letter to jump all over those
who voice disapproval, I also abhor Madam Pelosi’s call for a special session to discover
who is paying for the opposition to the Mosque. Now how do you feel about this utter
stupidity? Who is paying for what and what does she intend to do with the information if
ever? Is she going to find a way to condemn opposers. Are we in Nazi Germany? This
is a terrible liberal attitude for someone high up on the line of succession to be president.

Mikey, Even though I may be the only one objecting to your outrageous rant, I do believe
you need to write and publish an apology for posting the rant on a MRRF news letter. It is
not appropriate for you to get off the MRRF message.

I have been reading a lot about Muslims and what they call their faith and their supposed
modification to the interpretation of the Koran. A friend sent me an interesting article with a
gripping ending. I am sending you this article. Read or not read.

Hello,
I am United States Army specialist Zachari Klawonn a proud United States citizen and defender of freedom and the American way of life. I enlisted in the united states army just before my senior year in high school as soon as I could I was beyond excited and eager to join a force that’s sole duty is to defend the constitution and the American dream that has molded this country to the point it is today. A country that has given my family the ability to live the American dream and obtain that pursuit of happiness. My father who served proudly in the military before retiring shared constantly his stories of service and the view on how it molded him into the successful contributor to society and man he was today. The day couldn’t come quick enough when I could follow in his footsteps and embark on a similar journey as a proud defender of this country. The day I raised my hand in front of that American flag and took my oath of enlistment was the proudest day of my life. Since I have been in the military I have exceeded the Army’s standards, be it in physical fitness, weapons qualification, job proficiency, common tasks or military bearing, and even was identified as a candidate to attend special forces the only in my unit. Today I am proud American solider ready to answer whatever mission or duty that comes my way.

Okay with all that being said I need to add one thing that is an intricate part of me the thing that keeps me going within my spirituality and faith. Islam! I am Proud United States citizen dedicated solider and yes I happen to be Muslim. Unfortunately this has plagued my military career thus far weather with constant religious and cultural discrimination against me as a Muslim from an array of Soldiers, and in some instances, the command itself. But with all that I stand tall knowing that there will be justice and a better day ahead for all Muslim soldiers a head in this institution with persistence, culturally accurate information based training and constitutional understanding. As of late however an issue that has left me unbelievably disheartened is the controversy of this Islamic center near ground zero. As a proud defender of the constitution I find it heart breaking and morale shattering at the opposition of a free people’s first constitutional right to build this center. As a person who if means call would die for that blueprint of this country. It tears me up inside beyond words to see this opposition to constitutional freedom one I cherish so much. Essentially what we are doing is blaming the careless and radical not religious act of a very very few on an entire faith and people. The acts of Mikey Weinstein and MRFF are highly respected from countless service members who happen to be Muslim. It’s this that gives us the hope we need in this debacle of justice currently. Mikey Weinstein and MRFF’s stance is just and constitutional in defense of the center having the right to be built, is a bit of hope for these service members who happen to be Muslim. That shameless and unconstitutional behavior is a complete slap in the face to all solider, marines, airmen and guardians of this nations coast who happen to be American Muslim. As well as the issue that this plays right into the enemies playbook and enemy who hates the freedom we have, and if this bash at our first amendment continues they have won that battle. Which essentially they are doing if this islamaphobic unconstitutional behavior continues.

As a proud American citizen and Solider I plead and beg! Come on America lets us not fall into this dark hole of injustice and unconstitutional behavior! Our founding fathers are rolling over in their graves!

Sincerely,
United States Army Specialist Zachari Klawonn MRFF Liaison to the American Muslim Military and Civilian Community
