Please restore my school to one that values the things our country stands for

Dear Gentlemen,

I am a (year withheld) USAFA graduate and am very concerned with the state of my school.

There have been many reports of unconstitutional proselytizing by a group calling themselves “Cadets for Christ”.

When I was at the academy there was never a problem with religious activity or proselytizing as we, the cadets, believed that our religion was separate from our job as Air Force officers in training. What one choose to believe was their business and their business only. Granted this was 30 years ago and many things can change in that time….

It was with great pride when my daughter was granted an appointment to USAFA in 2002 and it was with great sadness when she left during her doolie summer partly based on the religious atmosphere of the Academy, particularly with regards to fanatical evangelical Christian proselytizing.

Please restore my school to one that values the things our country stands for, in particular, freedom to choose ones religious beliefs free from undue pressure.

Regards,
