I know you get a lot of the “Jews killed Christ” crap. Here’s something I don’t understand: If Christians believe Jesus’ death on the cross redeemed humanity and saved us from sin, then anyone who helped bring about that death (which, despite its unpleasant features, was necessary for redemption) actually HELPED Christians, right? Would the fundamentalists have preferred that Jesus not die – would it have been better for him to have married, moved to the suburbs and raised a few kids and die of a heart attack at age 74?
