I’m facing persistent harassment due to my Muslim Faith

Published On: August 27, 2011|Categories: MRFF's Inbox|0 Comments|

Hello,

I’m currently deployed and proud to serve my country as a US Muslim Soldier. Sadly I’m facing a persistent harassment due my Muslim faith. Things are getting worse when Ramadan started. I do fast during the mission and I feel soldiers around me started to give me more tasks and  been singled and labeled as a “ MUZIE ”  I did follow the chain of command and verbally complaint but when yesterday one of the soldier assaulted me I no longer feel comfortable being around the team as I feel scared of my life.
I’m a translator and none of the team does speak a foreign language except a local contractor and myself.

Any reply will be highly appreciated.

Thank you, (U.S. Muslim American Soldier’s name, rank, MOS, combat military unit and combat base withheld)
