What kind of circus is Lt Gen Gould running here? He’s been the ringleader since he arrived, taking the Dean and Comm as sideshow assistants, and scamming all the taxpayers with smoke and mirrors. This just makes me sick to my stomach. Absolutely no mention of Gen Schwartz’s letter of religious neutrality. You would think that something as significant as this letter would make it down to all personnel at USAFA, especially the cadets. Hasn’t been a single peep from the people behind the curtain. Nothing to see here!
Were we surprised when Lt Gen Gould stood up on stage to deliver the command perspective on DADT training, then immediately left the stage while forcing a Capt to give the briefing to the entire base? Pretty strong message there, boss! Why don’t you tell us how you really feel?
Were we surprised when the Gamble report came out with much fanfare, telling everyone that absolutely nothing was wrong at the AFA? They patted themselves on the back at what a great job they were doing misleading the masses. What a joke!
I don’t think this lack of concern about religious neutrality surprises us at all. It’s no wonder all complaints about the dominionist machine of the AFA route right back to MRFF. With mostly evangelical christian chaplains backing up the religiously rabid senior staff here, personnel with problems have nowhere to turn. What an extremely toxic environment in which we all live and work. The Constitution will prevail, MRFF will always be victorious, and so will Gen Schwartz’s direction to the rest of the AF. Just don’t expect the current AFA administration to bat an eye about this. They’ll continue to speak loudly about diversity and inclusion as they are completely incapable of actually implementing these policies.
