Re: MRFF Posts Billboard of USAF Religious Freedom Edict in US Air Force Academy’s Backyard

Mikey,

Isn’t it a shame that the Chief of Staff has to resort to doing this to get his message out to everyone in USAFA? I remember being in the military that when you were told (ordered) by your superior to do something, you went ahead and did it. If you didn’t, you were then charged with insubordination and then disciplined. What message are we sending to the cadets and others in the Air Force?—that Gen Gould can do (or this case not do) what he wants; isn’t he accountable for his action?

I guess this is the problem with our officers nowadays; they’ve either forgotten or refused to follow the oath they swore to their God to do—“that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States…that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me….So help me God.”

I suppose this is reason why we need you Mikey—who else can stand up against Gen Gould and get this billboard posted on the academy ground? Well done!

Take care,
(a classmate of Mikey’s at the USAFA)
