I just read where you are attack people in the military for their freedom to speak about Jesus. This country was formed for freedom to worship Jesus Christ. This has been successful because we worship Jesus. This country has been we’ll protected because we worship Jesus. For you to take a stand against Jesus makes you a enemy of the true United States Of America. I would wish that you repent of your sins and turn from your evil and wicked ways. But if you continue to hate Jesus. Then when don’t you pack your bags and get out of America. This country is great and we have no need for fools like you trying to destroy it. There is a day when every knee will bow and every tongue confess Jesus as King of Kings and lord of Lords and that includes your knees and your tongue. At that time if Jesus is not your Lord and your name is not in The Lambs Book Of Life, you sir are going to spend forever burning in hell. Fire all over your body never consuming you and pain forever. Don’t be a fool. Repent and stop your evil and worthless attack NOW !!!

I’m sorry your education was so lacking. Clearly you weren’t paying attention in U.S. History class.

Point number one – this county was not formed for freedom to worship Jesus Christ. It was formed to have a government run by and be responsive to the needs of its people. Yes, some did come here to escape from religious persecution. They didn’t like being told how they had to worship. Ironically, you missed that point because you are determined to tell everyone how they should believe and worship.

Point number two – the word god or jesus is not in the Constitution – the document upon which our form of government is based. I guess you’ve never read the Constitution. Here is the opening paragraph (called the Preamble): “We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.” See? That is why our country was formed.

Sadly, it seems like you are one of those people who believe something is a fact if someone shouts it at you long enough. You are not capable of independent thought. Because your pastor says it or your parents said it you believe it unquestioningly as truth.

I suggest you stop wasting the time of true saints like Mikey Weinstein by sending them foolish rants and instead spend your time reading and learning and becoming a better person.

My name is (name withheld), I occasionally read Mikey Weinstein’s received email, and respond to it. Such is the case today with your email.

Allow me to respond to an error in your email to him.

The First Amendment to the US constitution clearly separates religion from government. The Bill of Rights basically defines the USA as a secular country, and the government may not act, as a matter of policy, to advance any religion. So, the military, as an arm of the government, may not advance any religion.

In my opinion, your remark “This country was formed for freedom to worship Jesus Christ,” is incorrect. Yes, you do have the freedom to worship anything, but the government cannot advance your belief. The Constitution and The Bill of Rights protects you and every other US citizen against certain intrusions by government, and gives you and every other US citizen many freedoms. This country enjoys those many freedoms, but to say it was formed for the purpose of religious freedom…well, that’s just one of the freedoms, and our founding fathers certainly did not so narrowly form this country as you suggested.

What Mikey Weinstein and the Military Religious Freedom Foundation stand for is your freedom to worship anything you choose. But the government may not, and must not, even appear to advance your religion, or any religion, as a matter of policy. Mikey and the MRFF respond to people who advance a religion within the military, one of the government’s instruments of power. And that advancement, sir, is unconstitutional.
