Dear MRFF,

I will pray to Jesus for Mikey and all of you who look to persecute Christians.

Many blessings,
(name withheld)

Dear (name withheld),

Mikey has read your email and asked me to respond.

We Christians who make up 75% of the Board, Advisory Board, volunteers and supporters and our over 36,000+ soldier-clients (1 can represent 50 and 1 does represent 100) of which 96% of them are Christians – Catholic, Methodist, Lutheran, Baptist, Evangelical, etc. – thank you for your prayers.

We are grateful that you join us in the reprehensible persecution of Christians.

Please add the mainline Christians listed above to your prayer list because they are under extreme emotional distress and persecution by an extreme fringe of Christianity better as known Dominionism. Though this sect only makes up about 10% of the Air Force Academy, they are the most vocal and allowed to run roughshod over the other 90%. They crave media attention in the hopes of drawing in those mainline Christians – which THEY persecute – outside of the academy to come to their defense and it’s working very well.

This is what the military thinks of the faith of those Christian denominations listed above:

US Army chaplain MAJ James Linzey, who, in a 1999 video, described mainstream Protestant churches as “demonic, dastardly creatures from the pit of hell “that should be “stomped out.”

This is the thinking in our military all the way up the chain of command towards mainline Christians; they should be stomped out.

This is what we fight against in trying to protect the religious freedom of those mainline Christians but you won’t hear that. It wouldn’t make you angry enough to rise up against us.

As a Christian how would you like –

to be told you’re not “the right kind” of Christian or not “Christian enough.”

to be told that you are going to hell because you do not believe in the Christian sect they do.

to give you poor performance ratings because you won’t accept their sect.

to deny advancements because you are of a different sect.

to verbally abuse you with in-your-face religious proselytizing against your own religion.

to be driven out of the military on trumped up charges.

to be put on “point” on every mission

And, there is more…so much more.

This is the hostile environment they deal with on a daily basis. Their Constitutional rights of religious freedom are being trampled on without any help from those in the chain of command.

The Air Force has strict rules on religious neutrality. This is binding on everyone at the academy.

BY ORDER OF THE SECRETARY OF THE AIR FORCE

Air Force Instruction 1-1

7 August 2012

2.11. Government Neutrality Regarding Religion. Leaders at all levels must balance constitutional protections for an individual’s free exercise of religion or other personal beliefs and the constitutional prohibition against governmental establishment of religion. For example, they must avoid the actual or apparent use of their position to promote their personal religious beliefs to their subordinates or to extend preferential treatment for any religion. Commanders or supervisors who engage in such behavior may cause members to doubt their impartiality and objectivity. The potential result is a degradation of the unit’s morale, good order, and discipline. Airmen, especially commanders and supervisors, must ensure that in exercising their right of religious free expression, they do not degrade morale, good order, and discipline in the Air Force or degrade the trust and confidence that the public has in the United States Air Force.

The cadet in question was in a leadership position and knows about the AFI 1-1 rule but chose to ignore it. The Commander had a talk with him and he realized he was in the wrong and agreed to erase it.

I need to clear up for you the fact that we DO NOT operate on our own but only on the complaints of our soldiers – which are vetted before we take any action – when they’ve exhausted every avenue in the chain of command to rectify the situation.

As you can see, we are fighting for those Christians that are being persecuted by the 10% who are trampling on their Constitutional rights to freely practice the religion of their choice.

Please keep them in your prayers, too.

I suggest you got to our website www.religiousfreedomfoudation.org click on “About” and then click on “Foundation Voices.” You will see Secretary of State Colin Powell’s Chief of Staff (2002-05) Lawrence Wilkerson, distinguished military personnel, Governors, religious leaders and honorable people from all walks of life that support us.

Thank you.

Blessing to you, too.
