Selected Article Excerpts:

Democrats have no reason to rejoicie over Eric Cantor‘s loss at the Virginia GOP primary to a tea party challenger becasue the GOP base just voted a candidate whose views identify him with the group of Christian Dominionists known as Christian Reconstructionists.

Christian Reconstructionists are among the first major Christian Dominionist group in the US. The main views they hold in common include that government and civil law should be based on biblical principles as understood by Calvinists. They term their form of theocracy theonomy.

The GOP has thus replaced Eric Cantor with a man far to the right of the tea party who holds the theocratic view that biblical principles should form the foundation of all political and economic systems.

This is bad news for everyone including moderate Republicans and Democrats.
