Whether the AFA band plays at New Life Church or a public high school holds their graduation ceremony at a local church (which my daughters school does) what is the big deal?

Also, New Life Church is not LBGT phobic! To be phobic means you are afraid of something and I am sure that they are not afraid of the LBGT community. By scripture, they are not to be tolerant of sin, whether it be homosexuality, adultery, co-habitation of a man and a woman who are not married, pre-marital sex. Most churches have no problem if a non practicing homosexual attending their church and are trying to live a celebate godly lifestyle they would be more than welcome, however, if homosexuals are practicling their lifestyle then any church has the right to ask them to either become celebate or to leave the church. The same would go for anyone who is involved in an extra marital affair or a man and woman who are co-habitating who are not married. The church leadership can go to them and first ask them to repent and to stop their sinful lifestyle, if they refuse then the church has the right to ask them to leave biblically.

New Life Church is a religious organization, not a public school. Big difference.

It took centuries for the churches to accept LBGT and co-habitation; otherwise, these issues would not around for a long time. Ask people to leave the church? Where does it say that in the Bible? Of course, if you were a child and told your parents and religious leaders that you plan to stop going to church and don’t believe in God, I am quite sure they would have more than just a pep talk with you. Leave the church? If I recalled correctly none of us were asks to join the church when we were born. We went to the religious denomination that our parents and grandparents belong to. We were never asks if we want to belong to another religious group or not at all.

    Well said, Rev Bob.
In response to G: because some churches have ‘reinterpreted’ the Bible to suit their sensitivities does not make it right, or set a precedent for Bible-believing followers of Christ. Read Romans, chapter one, if you dare. Do it humbly on your knees and ask God to open your eyes to the truth. This is not about religion; it is about being spiritually reborn so you won’t be consigned to the lake of fire at the judgement. Your lack of faith will be your undoing and there will be weeping and bitter regret – thus saith the Lord.

RWAM, it is Christians like you and Rev Bob that need kneel humbly to God (if he exists) and open your eyes with regards to your intolerance to other people who are different from you.
