Well I pray that it well be a positive review because I am sure that people need to know that there are methods better than humanistic psychology which cannot heal anyone!

Oooooh, yeah! Maybe a Native American sweat lodge! Or how about some tantric sex? Maybe some Buddhist meditation? Humanistic psychology didn’t heal you, RB?? Maybe you should try again and really apply yourself….

Again Rev Bob, where are your statistics that religion heals people far more than humanistic psychology? Maybe if the human race would get along with itself, we have no need for psychology and/or religion.

    Paula,

Not sure humor was your intent but I read your phrase about humanistic psychology not healing Rev Bob and I laughed out loud.

Preacher man has never had any of his autonomy compromised. How do I know this? Because he doesn’t talk the talk.

When your personal power has been ripped from you followed by attacks from the system that should have your back, well it changes a person; alters the tone of their conversation.

Rev Bob pretends to know, but he doesn’t have knowledge of anything outside the KIng James version of the bible. With the multitude of philosophies and beliefs in the world that seems to me to be limiting oneself.

I guess I shouldn’t give the preacher man too hard of a time. After all, in his mind the reason humans were kicked out of paradise was the search for knowledge, therefore knowing stuff is bad.

I’m loving the idea of a sweat lodge and teaching those that have been raped the ideals and practices of tantric sex. Use the good energy to replace the bad memories. It won’t make any of the ick go away but it allows power to return in a healthy manner.

I’d go further – teach coping skills for when panic attacks and PTSD strike. I’ve got a lot more but I’m on the phone and typing and my energy is not complimentary, especially will an electronic keyboard. :D

    Hey Connie,
Sorry to disappoint you, but I do not use the King James Version nor like it, I do have a copy of one in my library but only for reference. They two versions I prefer are the ESV (English Standard Version) and the TLV (Tree of Life Version) which is the new Messianic Jewish version of the scriptures.

Let me correct as well regarding your statement that Adam and Eve were kicked out of the garden for the search of knowledge, that is a half truth, they were commanded of God to not eat of any fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil! So, they were kicked out because of their disobedience of what God told them not to do, not for searching for knowledge. God has no problem with us searching for knowledge, even in Proverbs it says “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”

    Wow Rev Bob! You sure
Told me what I said wasn’t
    What I said. Wait, what?

    No conversation
You haven’t earned that right Bob
    Questions still await

    Excellent comment, Connie

“They were commanded of God to not eat of any fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil!”

Gee, Rev Bod, I don’t recall any religious authority person telling me that the tree of knowledge was good and evil. God needs to blame himself for creating a plant like that in the first place, so I guess he is not all knowing that we think he is.

Your remark and Proverbs makes no sense at all. Or did you twisted and manipulate Proverbs like you did with your other Biblical scriptures as usual?

  9. Rev Bob May 12, 2016 at 6:34 pm

    G,
Here is the verse I was talking about and no I did not twist it or any other scripture – The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. – Prov. 9:10 If you don’t believe me then get a bible and read it for yourself.

If anyone twists scriptures it is the mainline churches today that do that i.e. – Methodists,Church of Christ and Presbyterian churches.

Rev Bob, you have twisted and manipulate the Bible. You know it, I know it, Connie knows it, and God knows it.
