Mikey, I wanted to write and thank you for your actions last week in support of the Constitution. I contacted you before 9am on the East Coast about a possible Constitutional Violation at Marine Corps Base, Quantico. Within an hour you responded which amazed me considering the time difference between us. We spoke on the phone where I described the issue and my concern that the National Day of Prayer event didn’t sound like it was being handled properly.

Your counsel on this Constitutional matter was spot on. You gave me options from bringing it up to the command myself, the base’s EEO office or IG or having your foundation respond for me. I felt retribution might be a risk and asked if you would make contact for me. I was surprised but also felt supported when you informed me that there were many others at my command who were also members of MRFF.
Within an hour of my forwarding the command email to you you had drafted a letter to the command letting them know of the Constitutional violation and options for them to remedy the problem. You also let the media know about the problem. I am certain if only your letter had reached the command nothing would have been done but the exposure of this violation to the media will help the Commanding General make the right call.
My hope is that this event will either be modified to make it legal, moved to the base chapel or cancelled. I will let you know what occurs.
Thank you for your support of every member of the military and our religious freedom.
