Regarding Mikey Weinstein

Regarding your stupid e-mail to Mikey: first of all, you should be thankful it’s me answering your note and not Mikey. Mikey is a friend of mine; not only could he kick your sorry ass in his sleep, but he’s a better Jew, a more honorable Veteran, and a more patriotic American than you could ever hope to be. But since you want to disparage JAGs, let me tell you about me. I am a U.S. Navy Veteran and I wasn’t a JAG. I spent most of my time in the Med and North Atlantic. How many Med Cruises did you do? I was also selected to serve on the staff of the Commander of Submarine Squadron 14 in Holy Loch, Scotland. Which admiral’s staff were you hand-picked to serve on? Oh, and yes, I AM A JEW. In fact I am a religious Jew.

Like I said, I know Mikey personally. He’s not only my friend, he literally saved my life. Mikey has done more for this Country, not only as a JAG, but working in the Reagan White House and more recently defending both the Constitution (which we all swore to uphold – have you forgotten that Freddy?) and defending men and women of all faiths against all manner of discrimination and persecution in both the U.S. Military and Department of Veterans Affairs. It sounds to me, Freddy, that you like it that your fellow Jews are being discriminated against. Tell me, are you one of those Jews who wishes you could sew the end of your schmekel back on? Are you in bed with the Christian right…wait a minute, are you licking their balls right now? Well, why don’t you put down their balls for a second and pay attention.

In case you’re trying to defend the “National Day of Prayer”, are you aware that it has from its inception excluded all faiths (including Jews) from its official functions? Are you aware that in recent years it has been run by an organization affiliated with James Dobson and his wife? Do you know they have vigorously forbidden anyone of any other religion to participate? Yes, even Jews have been left outside the door (unless people like you just want to go quietly, sit in the back and listen to their exclusively Christian sermons and prayers….in other words, if you’re willing to have them shove their religion down your throat). And of course this is the very issue the Founding Fathers had with religion – exclusion, discrimination and persecution. Now I don’t know if you’ve ever read anything any of the founding fathers ever wrote, but in addition to the Constitution, Bill of Rights, etc., I have read extensively from the writings of many of the founding fathers, including Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Maddison Monroe, Hamilton, etc. etc. You see, unlike people like you, Mikey and I have actually done our homework. We know our American history, we know our Constitution, and Mikey sure as hell knows the law.

Let me ask you this, (name withheld), even if you don’t give a shit about the U.S. Constitution (and it appears you don’t since you have no idea what it really says or means), do you even give a shit about your fellow Jews? How about the Jewish Veteran I represented on behalf of Mikey and the Military Religious Freedom Foundation? He had done multiple tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan (I bet you’ve never been to either place) and he had been wounded more than once in combat (have you ever seen combat there Freddy?). He’d received both a purple heart and a medal for valor (you ever get one of those?). He was diagnosed with PTSD at the time of his honorable discharge, but the V.A. Medical Center near his home denied him access to therapy, including a PTSD group, unless he was willing to become “born again”. (Now I know this for a fact because not only was it confirmed by two other Catholic Veterans who were also denied therapy at the same facility for not being “born again”, but I spoke to the V.A. Medical Center’s CMO and he confirmed it.) Now thankfully I was able to get this changed by making a few targeted phone calls; but it seems to me you think it’s okay that this happened and you think I’m scum for helping not only my fellow Jew, but my fellow veterans. Tell me, (name withheld), do you want to scream at me too?

Do you really think it’s okay that your Christian buddies shove their religion down everyone else’s throats, including the throats of your fellow Jews? The reason I ask is because that’s what’s happening every single day in the U.S. Military and Department of Veterans Affairs; hell, it’s happening all over the United States. Right wing, fundamentalist Christians work day and night to inflict their religion of hate on everyone else, and when anyone like Mikey has the courage to stand up for the U.S. Constitution, not to mention for what is just plain right, and opposes what the right wing fundamentalist Christians are doing, then these same Christians scream bloody murder and claim they’re the ones being persecuted. They construct straw men like “the war on Christmas” and “the war on Christianity” in the United States to divert attention from their war on everyone else. Of course if you were really a Jew you’d have figured this out long ago. If you were a real Jew you would be at least defending your fellow Jews, not attacking them for defending other Jews. I imagine you hate the Jews that marched with Dr. King too. If you were a real Jew you would have heard about Tikkun Olam and understood it is a Jew’s job to stand up for those who can’t stand up for themselves, no matter who they are. And if you weren’t such a traitor to the United States of America and its Constitution you would have written Mikey to thank him for defending both, not attacking him. But sadly, you’re just an ignorant asshole, a traitor to your nation, and just one more Hitler-identifying, self-loathing piece of shit for an alleged Jew. Yes, even if you were born a Jew, by identifying with the right wing, fundamentalist Christian community you have surrendered any claim you had to being Jewish (study the Talmud for awhile and you’ll learn this).

In conclusion, the next time you want to come after Mikey, you better come through me first, you bottom dwelling prick. Because I owe Mikey my life and I would gladly surrender my own life for his, and I will kick your ass every day of the week and twice on Sundays. Mikey is a thousand times the man, the Jew and the patriot you could ever hope to be; so you’d best just go along now, go back to you fundamentalist Christian buddies, to tea bagging, to licking their balls like you were before, but don’t even think about fucking with Mikey because I will deal with you, I promise you, you cowardly piece of shit.
