I am honored and humbled to be recognized by MRFF for this award. In order to avoid any controversy within my subordinate leaders, my own faith-group colleagues, or to avoid the appearance of officially supporting a Non Federal Entity as a public senior leader, it would be best to not include my name, rank or position at this point. However, I am encouraged by MRFF's work. It is important for us as leaders, regardless of the level of leadership we provide, to ensure all of our subordinates are respected, that they feel they are valued members of the team, and that they feel secure both emotionally and physically. The command climate leaders must make is one of inclusiveness. Regardless of ethnicity, faith or no faith, sexual orientation, gender, or even political affiliation, our job as leaders is not to show favoritism or partiality, but to ensure we create a command climate of respect, teamwork, and inclusivity. That's what leaders do. And that is what MRFF advocates for all members of our Armed Services. Thank-you again for this honor.
