"The Military Religious Freedom Foundation is leading the fight for religious freedom for our sailors, soldiers, marines, airmen and veterans. The religious freedoms we enjoy today have been earned at immeasurable cost by our forebears. We are a great country because people of uniformed authority do not tell its citizens what and how to believe whether they serve in uniform or not, we are proud of this independent heritage and this foundation and tone among our democratic principles. These values can dissipate in the face of threats that condone the use of positions of authority to limit religious freedoms and impose indignities upon those freedoms. We must not stand idly by and fail to act against any indifferently protected threat to those sacred freedoms."

ARE U.S. TROOPS BEING
FORCE-FED CHRISTIANITY?
At Speicher base in Iraq, US Army Spec. Jeremy Hall got permission from a chaplain in August to post fliers announcing a meeting for atheists and other nonbelievers. REPORT: PENTAGON FACILITATING CHRISTIAN EVANGELISM
The Defense Department (DOD) allegedly provided two fundamentalist Christian organizations exclusive access to several military bases around the country. This access became official sanction for these groups to proselytize amid the ranks, despite the fact that such activities were in violation of federal law. read more
LIFE ABOVE THE
HORIZON IS DIFFERENT
Life changes when you stand up to silhouette yourself against the horizon. Wave your arms and make noise and the change can become dramatic.
Anyone— politicians, football coaches, actors, judges— can expect to live life differently from those who remain below the horizon, quietly going about their business.
This horizon business is only one of the reasons that it is likely that e-mail sent to Mikey Weinstein is different from e-mail sent to you or me. read more
Greetings all! As usual, we have much to report, and much to look forward to around here. First off, we are back in Federal court, representing Spc. Jeremy Hall, who does not follow any organized religion. He is a soldier currently deployed to Iraq who came under oppressive and highly illegal treatment by a superior officer stationed with him at Combat Operations Base Speicher. Jeremy is a true American hero who has endured unimaginable pressure, threats, and abuse because of his decision to go public with his case. We are proud to have him as a co-plaintiff with our Foundation as he nobly joins our battle to take this to the courts.
I am coming off of a busy media and speaking tour, having crisscrossed from speaking to the Corps of Cadets and fellow students at Norwich University to addressing an audience of over 1,000 at the Temple of the Arts in Beverly Hills, California. Then it was on to New York to film a segment for Dan Rather Reports which is airing almost daily on HDNet. We are working hard to spread our message daily through radio, print, e-media, television, and the blogosphere. The result has been unprecedented exposure for us and our cause. I receive a great deal of support from around the world, and every day more soldiers, airmen, sailors, marines and veterans hear about us and call on us for help.
There is a lot of exciting news in the works that we will keep you informed about. As always, thank you for your continued support. Believe me when I say we are making a difference!
