SOCIAL NETWORKING OUTREACH

Greetings,

Here at the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, we’re working on building a grassroots support network for our nonprofit foundation.  We would love for you to be involved.  And even if this isn’t something you’re familiar or comfortable with, perhaps you know someone who is more familiar with Internet social networking that would like to help get our message to many more people.

Our foundation was started for the express purpose of protecting the Separation of Church and State as established in the United States Constitution.  There is a concerted effort on the part of dominionist, fundamentalist Christian organizations to inject their discriminatory religious agenda into every level of American life.  They are especially focusing on the United States military.  Our founder, Michael L. “Mikey” Weinstein, has experienced this religious takeover of the military in his own military career as well as those of his children.  These fundamentalist Christian organizations have a huge amount of funding behind them, and it takes an enormous amount of money to continue our fight.

The best way to get those vital funds is to build our own network of like-minded supporters like you (and those you know that are familiar with these social networking websites), that are willing to spend the little time required to help get the word out about the Military Religious Freedom Foundation.  We’re focusing on the major social network websites right now, including YouTube, Facebook, and Myspace.  We’re a 501(c)3 nonprofit foundation, and our only source of funding is private, fully tax-deductible donations.

Here’s what we’re asking for: put the word out about the Military Religious Freedom Foundation.  Add our videos on YouTube to your list of favorites.  Become a fan of Mikey Weinstein on Facebook.  Add Mikey as your friend on Myspace.  Put a link to the Foundation’s website on your blog or website.  Tell your friends.  Add the link to your instant messenger profile or your message board signature.  Really, the ways are endless.  We’re currently working to provide you with as many tools as possible to make it as easy as possible for you to do this, such as small banner images you can put on your Myspace or website to link to us.  And if possible, any donation you can personally make would be hugely appreciated (not to mention fully tax-deductible) and allow us to keep working to protect our Constitution.
