Unquestioningly due to MRFF’s dogged efforts in publicizing and getting media coverage of the Air Force Academy’s disgraceful scheduling of its Commandant’s Challenge, the most important training day of the semester, on the Jewish high holy day of Yom Kippurthree United States senators have now taken up the issue, writing to Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall seeking answers for this slap in the face to the Academy’s Jewish cadets.

It is said when the demonization of others, specifically those of Jewish faith, occurs fascism is not far behind. Here we are kids.

Antisemitism isn’t limited to the military, it’s in the country’s entertainers, politicians, advertisers, and corporations. The Nazis didn’t ‘give up’ at the end of WW2, they moved to the New Country to set up shop. We have Nazis openly demonstrating on our bridges so the plan worked.

In the USA everyone has the right to believe what they believe. This means to me that even if a fellow citizen believes the Nazi rhetoric then they have that right. What they don’t have the right to do is to force other citizens to follow their ideology or codify their hateful ways into law.

Our country was founded on ideals which we’ve never fulfilled. To me, We The People have an amazing opportunity. We can reboot the USA to ensure all our people are represented, to live up to the vision our Founding Fathers pounded out in coffee houses.

We must pull together because if we think the here/now is bad, wait until the Earth really gets going. How do I know the Earth is getting ready to Do Something? Watch the animals; they always know.

With the sale of Twitter the racism and bigotry hidden in the hearts of so many humans is set free for all to see. As I see it, instead of owning some nebulous other they betray their own lack of character.

I believe the phrase ‘Jesus wept’ was created for exactly this situation.

At least the trash isn’t hiding anymore. While the task of clean up is daunting, those doing the work don’t have to expend energy searching. It’s all out in the open baby.

Grey One Talks Sass: you’re right. The bigotry was always there – but now the bigots feel more free to express their hate without fear of negative consequences. The promotion of bigotry by celebrity politicians, athletes, and entertainers has given people license to unleash their hate and ignorance on all of us. We know where this leads, and it is very bad for the future of our civil rights and the civic and economic opportunities of minorities, including religious minorities.
