Dear Mikey and other MRFF friends,
I’m your classic US White person, now 64, Californian, Christian parents from the Midwest, etc. I know many people who will say that some “they” are all horrible people, usually describing a racial/ethnic group that the speaker is not a member of. This is part of who we USians, collectively, are, and that is a sad commentary on us.
That Hamas has misbehaved brutally is not justification for destroying Palestinian lives. That Israel has misbehaved brutally is not justification for destroying Israeli lives. But we are talking political entities here. Governments. I get that there is a long history now of flowing blood in that part of the Middle East, and a lot of people with axes to grind. But hatred directed at a US Jew, or a US Muslim, is an artifact of the general hatred that some of us USians seem determined to spew at whatever target is most convenient.
I’m very saddened that you and your family Mikey, are targets of that spew, and I’m certain that there a whole lot of other people in our country who are also targets. Please take a moment to remember that there are many more people like me, who will appreciate you for the work you do, the person you are, and not give the proverbial rat’s behind about your ethnicity or religion.
Everyone at MRFF absolutely rocks, and you all are making our country a better place.

Patriotism runs deep in the Weinstein family, with no better testament to public service than Mikey Weinstein’s record of service, both, in and out of military uniform.
Mikey’s father, a Naval Academy graduate, Mikey an Air Force Academy graduate, along with his children, also Air Force Academy graduates, his son a State Representative, Mikey a former JAG Officer and later legal counsel in the Reagan administration.
And Mikey’s current avocation of protecting Constitutional freedoms for our military members – of all faiths, against the rising tide of populist hate-harboring Nationalism in this country, is representative of a Masterclass in leadership, honor, character, and integrity, traits sorely lacking in a good portion of the US electorate today!
For that record of service to be denigrated by the soulless few who are fueled by their own sociopathy and hatred, is but a mirrored reflection of their own inadequacies as they surface like flotsam in a cesspool, the scum layer of society, their drivelled trail of hatred flowing like mucous from their mouths.
No truer Patriot than Mikey Weinstein.
Please know Mr. Weinstein that you have by far more backers than detractors.
