Highly decorated senior military officer and instructor at one of the military’s premiere educational institutions uses Mikey Weinstein’s recent “Project 2025“ op-ed as a “discussion stimulator” for the officers in his classes

Dear Mr. Weinstein,
First, thank you for your recent article expose on the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025.
Second, a small bit about me.
I am a senior military officer with significant combatant command experience downrange in the sandbox. I have completed multiple combat tours in the Area of Responsibility (AOR) in command of special operations war fighting units with multiple engagements including hand-to-hand. Besides more than one Purple Heart, I have received other significant combat decorations. No brag just fact. I know wars and I know how to command troops in them.
I was raised a Christian, married a Christian and we are raising our kids as a Christian family. I am a graduate of one of our nation’s military academies. And for what it’s worth I am a life long registered Republican.
Currently, I essentially teach “military strategy and national security” to active duty U.S. officers (and some allied foreign military officers) at one our nation’s premier Professional Military Education institutions. Today’s United States armed forces have thankfully never been as diverse in ethnicity, culture, race, religion, gender/sexual orientation and national origin as it stands today. This great diversity is also our greatest strength.
Because of this, I made sure that my classes saw and mandatorily reviewed your article on Project 2025 which became the subject of much debate and conversation amongst my faculty colleagues and students.
I was asked by some of my officer-students and even some fellow faculty members here why I chose your recent Project 2025 editorial to use as a “discussion stimulator” to the officers in my classes. Some of them even criticized me. They were taken aback given what they deemed your and the MRFF’s so-called “anti-Christian bias” throughout the years of your operations on behalf of the MRFF’s client service members. Based upon my and my associates’ prior experience with the MRFF I find that accusation completely baseless by the way.
Anyway, the reason I used your article was simple. As simple as math. Project 2025 divides and does not unify.
As an experienced combatant spec ops commander myself, I know that no military organization can accomplish its mission without exceptional unit cohesion and respect amongst its fighters. Good order, discipline and morale are also critical. I can give countless personal examples but that exceeds the intent of this thank you note. In short, Project 2025 murders unit cohesion.
If Project 2025 and its clear agenda of Christian supremacy is ever allowed to see the light of day within the hierarchy of the Department of Defense, it will completely destroy the unit cohesion necessary for our military units to function. Good order, discipline and morale will also plummet. Troops, especially combat troops, will suffer and troops will die.
As I said, I know war. And I know what creates the necessary bonds amongst our nation’s troops to victoriously fight in them.
Thank you and the MRFF for not only telling it the way it is but especially the way it will be if Project 2025 becomes mandated command policy for our American armed forces.

We won’t be needing any unit cohesion when U.S. forces will effectively be under the command of Vladimir Putin.
This is the most dangerous effort to subvert our nation’s constitution to enable of a handful of power-hungry white christian nationalists – who have openly shown that the idea of a “Jesus Christ” is no longer relevant. This is pure human avarice by the wealthiest among us who have concluded that DEMOCRACY is not an effective tool for them to manage the masses. They are all in on building a fascistic kleptocracy wrapped in false patriotism and cloaked in a perverted theocracy.
Get your asses out there and VOTE these bastards out of office and COMMIT YOURSELF to getting two others to vote.
This could be our last chance.
I was in that class, it was a total snooze-fest.
@A.L. Hern
You think that unit cohesion will be better under Trump with or without Putin?
@AmericaFirst, was it a snooze-fest because the truth of Mikey’s writing was so breathtakingly obvious, or because your mind was previously made up about the issue? Or maybe the class just didn’t want to engage?
I’m curious, not judging. Because while I didn’t serve in our armed forces, I do have a master’s degree in geology. One of the things I learned in school was that thinking about points of contention is often a very good activity.
Great post, also check UIF calculator to check insurance fund.
