If you heard it said that America’s military was being taken over by agents of apocalyptic Christianity, you might think it the fiction of some leftwing alarmist. But what if it came from a man who said, “I never thought, coming from a conservative military Republican family filled with [US Air Force] Academy graduates and people that have been in so much combat, that at this point in my life, after being a White House lawyer, a lawyer for a Texas billionaire, a businessman, that I’d suddenly become this political activist”?
MRFF NEEDS YOUR HELP WITH OUR SOCIAL NETWORKING OUTREACH
Here at the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, we’re working on building a grassroots support network for our nonprofit foundation. We would love for you to be involved. And even if this isn’t something you’re familiar or comfortable with, perhaps you know someone who is more familiar with Internet social networking that would like to help get our message to many more people.
Governor Lamm has served three terms as Governor of Colorado as a Democrat (1975–1987) and ran for the Reform Party's nomination for President of the United States in 1996. He is a member of the MRFF Advisory Board.
Competent leadership is fundamental to military effectiveness. Although there are countless definitions of leadership, the simple truth is that leadership is merely influencing others to act in concert toward achieving a goal that they might not have achieved on their own. The art of leadership speaks to a leader’s ability to appropriately influence subordinate behavior in a given situation. Waite, currently chaplain for the Naval Submarine Support Center in Norfolk, Va., has a watchdog group wondering how he can deal honestly and professionally with Muslims, who, he argued in a 2002 book, Islam Uncovered, "embrace a religion that is hostile to peace-loving Christians, Jews, and anybody that does not conform to [their] beliefs.
As we begin our third year of operation, we want to thank you for helping to make 2007 so successful. Last year we continued to show those we're fighting against that we're a force to be reckoned with.
We have even bigger plans for MRFF in 2008, from expanding our legal challenges in federal court to increasing our advocacy through speaking engagements and ever-broadening media exposure.
The Foundation is off to a great start already, as you can see by checking out the numerous stories included in this newsletter. We will continue to keep you up to date as we continue advocating and fighting for our honorable Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Airmen and Veterans!
Your Eternal Ally,
As we continue to fight in the courts, the media, and in the minds and hearts of our fellow citizens, we need your ongoing support.
