MRFF GIVES BIRTH! Visit our dynamic new website!

Mikey WeinsteinGreetings MRFF Supporters!

MRFF is proud to announce our brand new, dynamic website! This will allow much more up-to-date MRFF news to be featured on an ongoing basis. We're all very excited about this new member of the MRFF family, and we think you will be too.

Speaking of new members of the MRFF family - I'm also proud to announce our newest Board Member, Leah Burton, and our new Advisory Board member, Edie Disler. And speaking of board members, another of our esteemed Advisory Board members, Frank Schaeffer, was featured in an interview. You can see the biographies of our new members, as well as the interview with Frank Schaeffer, on our new website. Furthermore, MRFF's master wordsmith / Board Member, Rick Baker, staunchly defends MRFF yet again in MRFF's Inbox. And finally, I'd like to congratulate Advisory Board member Joseph Grieboski for being chosen for induction into the International Hall of Honor in the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel at Morehouse College in 2010!

Due to the incredible amount of support that our supporters have shown us since our inception in 2005, we've been able to effect a truly astonishing transformation at the United States Air Force Academy. What a difference five years can make!

Let's briefly examine where we were five years ago: In May 2005, the Air Force launched an investigative inquiry at the Air Force Academy due to the rampant violations of the 1st Amendment occurring regularly and with impunity. While the inquiry's report admitted that there was a "problem with religious sensitivity," it stopped well short of anything resembling censure for any of the perpetrators.

Now, let's fast-forward to earlier this month, when it all came full circle: the Air Force Academy's National Character and Leadership Symposium invited Godzilla to their backyard barbecue, when they invited me as one of their speakers for this prominent event. This is another clear positive sign as to the relationship that we have been able to foster with Superintendent Lt. Gen. Mike Gould, who has made a commitment to ensuring that the Constitutionally-protected wall separating church and state in the United States military is maintained at the Air Force Academy.

Even considering this notable progress, we still must remain as vigilant as ever - even with regard to the Air Force Academy. The discovery of a hate crime at the designated earth-centered worship circle at the Academy in January is a perfect example of the continuing and endless ability of some within the military to hate and discriminate against those who hold the "wrong" beliefs. Your continued support, as always, is vitally needed and will allow us to continue this fight for as long as is necessary.

Your Eternal Ally,
