Fort Leavenworth stands as the oldest continuously active Army post west of the Mississippi River. Since its founding in 1827, it has significantly evolved and today, as part of Installation Management Command - West Region, the Fort Leavenworth Garrison supports the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) by managing and maintaining the home of the U.S. Army Combined Arms Center (CAC). CAC's mission involves leader development, collective training, Army doctrine, and battle command (current and future).

Today, Fort Leavenworth's proud history of service is being destroyed by the virulent anti-Semitism which patently undermines the Garrison's stated purpose "to provide an environment for people to grow and flourish in service to the nation."
 
Are we embarking on an era of spiritual terrorism?    The perpetrators, our revered military know or should know exactly what they are doing!  Everything flows downhill, and that includes attitudes flowing downhill from college-educated officers who are supposed, by their very education, to have enough critical reasoning skills to realize just what they are doing.  The insidious nature of this religious coup is on par with Nazism.  Similarly, the German youth were duped, as impressionable young men in a culture that was purposefully developed to set them up to believe they were the master race.

Anyone would easily come away with the belief that the US Army endorses these teachings. The last time someone talked about a Jewish problem the way these chaplains are talking about it was in Europe in the 1930s. What these Bible teachings say to me or to anyone participating in these classes is that the US government loves the military but Jews are bad."
 
Weinstein said he intends to file a lawsuit against the US Army alleging Constitutional violations.
 
The Fort Leavenworth chaplains have posted these lesson plans http://usacac.army.mil/CAC/Staff/chaplain/studyguides.asp on the Internet under a web address that is maintained by the federal government, giving off the appearance that the religious materials in question are endorsed by the Pentagon. Moreover, disseminating the ideology via a government funded website may violate the law mandating the separation between church and state.
 
The Officers Christian Fellowship Neighborhood Study Guides quote portions of the New Testament and were written by Major George Kuykendall, a former chaplain at Fort Leavenworth, who died in 1998, according to Chris Rodda, a senior researcher at the Military Religious Freedom Foundation. Rodda said the study guides also urge soldiers to do unconstitutional things like proselytize to the Fort Leavenworth community."
 
In one of the study guides, Galatians http://usacac.army.mil/cac/ staff/chaplain/Galatians.pdf, posted on the Fort Leavenworth chaplain website the materials refer to Jews as "Judiazers" and claims that "the Judiazers were zealous people much like the zealous Moslems have become today."
 
The 34-page Galatians study guide deals primarily with "Paul," who the Jews "persecuted," according to the study guide.
 
"Why did the Jews persecute Paul? Because of his teachings," the study guide says. "The cross was an offense to the Jews. Jesus had victory over the cross (death)."
 
The study guide then says that anyone who turns from Christianity to Judaism "should be condemned to spiritual death and hell."
 
"The Judaizers attempted to destroy the two foundations of the Christian religion: a. The Grace of God, and b. The Death of Christ," the Galtatian study guide says, adding that Judaism is a religion of "bondage" and Christianity a religion of "freedom."
 
In discussing modern day Jerusalem, chaplains ask soldiers to provide an answer to the following question: "How does the present Jerusalem represent slavery?"
 
Do you see any similarity in the problems and attitudes that confronted early Zionism, 24 centuries ago, and the conflict that exists today between the Jews who have returned to their ancient homeland to re-establish Israel and the
long-time Arab inhabitants of that same land?

The following, from the instructions for "Becoming a Bible Study Leader at Fort Leavenworth," encourages Bible Study Leaders to violate Fort Leavenworth's guidelines, asking only that these guidelines be followed "as close as practical."

What do we ask of our Bible study leaders?
We ask you to commit to serve under the influence of the Holy Spirit. That must include time for personal prayer and devotion to the scripture. We ask that you follow as close as practical the guidelines established at Ft. Leavenworth. I ask that each leader regularly attend our Discipleship training sessions as well. If you maintain a reasonable balance in your lifestyle, none of these should be too difficult.
 
The Bible Study guides themselves clearly show that the goals of these study groups, even when posed in the form of questions, as in the following example, would require an unconstitutional level of evangelizing of fellow military personnel by the group members.

From the Bible Study Guide on Nehemiah:

Do you know how long it would take to win the world to Christ if every Christian won one person to Christ per year? 33 years.

Do you think it is possible for you to win one person to Christ this year?

How would you proceed to accomplish that? 1. By making a commitment to do that, 2. By learning how to present the gospel in such a way as to challenge someone to accept Christ as Lord, 3. By bathing my goal in prayer, 4. By praying for some specific person to accept Christ, 5. By inviting and encouraging a specific person to come to this Bible study and continuing to pray for their salvation and/or spiritual growth.

What effect could our group have on the population at Fort Leavenworth if we deliberately embarked on such an effort and prayed for each other daily?

In addition to the blatant anti-Semitism found in a study guide on "Galatians," another study guide, on "Gradual Revelation ," actually seems to imply that it is not as bad for a superior to abuse their authority over non-Christian subordinates as it is to abuse their authority over fellow Christians of other denominations, by asking if there is "likely to be special judgment on Christian leaders who do such things to Christians under their authority?"

These Bible Study guides were written by Maj. George Kuykendall, a former chaplain at Fort Leavenworth, who died in 1998.  The other chaplain he worked closely with to establish the current Fort Leavenworth programs, however, Col. Jim Ammerman, although long retired from active duty, still wields a significant influence over the placing of military chaplains, as Director of Chaplaincy, Full Gospel Churches, Inc., a Dallas, TX based endorsing agency recognized by the Pentagon for the Armed Forces Chaplaincy.

Today, there’s a constant flow of religion into national politics and the military. And not just any religion, either, but the Dominionist, Evangelical Fundamentalist us-versus-them, my-God-is-bigger-than-your-God, steel-fisted variety of Christian evangelism. There was a time, and not so long ago when this nation worshiped a humbler God but this invidious and cultish clan that is consuming our military believes they have a God-given right to rule the country, create a Christian nation, and eventually, a Christian empire.
In a political year that promises a fresh battle for the national soul, religion is emerging as a tool and a test, as religion marks a deep fissure within our armed forces. One of the most disturbing things they have already accomplished is control of the chaplaincies. Their mission: to detour loyalty from the constitutional established democratic state to the Christian state, as defined by them.
 
What does it say for democracy that half of the American population is unable to draw a rational conclusion from unambiguous facts? We are not a theocratic state. And to believe so will only hasten our nation’s demise.
 
Americans share this disability with the Bush administration. According to news reports, the Bush administration is stunned by the election victory of the radical Islamist Hamas Party, which swept the US-financed Fatah Party from office. Why is the Bush administration astonished? The reason for their abysmal naiveté   is that they believe they were anointed by God to carry out his will, and therefore they are deaf, dumb and blind to any criticism. Since all other nations are children of a lesser God, they are worthy only of conversion, subjugation, or destruction. Ironically, when the tables are turned, Fundamentalist Islamicists feel the same way.  With this shared philosophy, we are careening headlong into a collective suicide.
