Dear Mikey:
Great article ! … and I agree with you, the Ghandi method is not entirely appealing.
The most enraging aspect is that these fanatic Christians are not really Christian. I was raised as an ascetic Eastern Orthodox and the true values of Christianity are too far apart from the US Evangelists and the like. Christianity is a very mild religion, passive, meek almost. It is embarrassing that the most Christian of recent memory was Ghandi (and he was a Hindu). True Christianity has nothing to do with conquistadors, crusaders, and medieval torture chambers (to exorcise the daemons out of you). When it spread to the west it’s as if it degenerated and decayed in the hands of barbarians. I have no problem coexisting with true Christians (I don’t agree with them, but I have no problem with them either). The version of religion we see in the west is a wolf in sheep’s clothing … it is a thin facade, a thin layer of paint as a camouflage for highly murderous savages. Instead of adapting and refining themselves to the original religion they have rewritten it, reformed and stretch fited it to embrace their whims. Like a horde of barbarians inventing a religion that embraces rape, murder, pillaging, and prosecution as virtues and calling this new invention Christianity.

It makes me so angry that it clouds my judgement. I got to learn to manage it.
