FOUNDATION VOICE (Pedro L. Irigonegaray, Esq.) – A Reply to ACLJ’s “Campaign Against the Cross” and a Clarification on MRFF

Published On: December 6, 2011|Categories: News|0 Comments|

The following is a rebuttal to The Campaign Against the Cross is Not About “Freedom” , an attack on MRFF published by David French of the fundamentalist Evangelical Christian ACLJ (American Center for Libery and Justice).

The author, Pedro L. Irigonegaray, Esq., is a civil rights attorney and member of the MRFF Advisory Board. He is an active and participating member of the Topeka, Kansas, Florida, and American bar associations; Kansas Trial Lawyers Association; Association of Trial Lawyers of America; American Inns of Court; and Trial Lawyers for Public Justice. He is also a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

Mikey Weinstein’s Military Religious Freedom Foundation ( MRFF), a patriotic  American organization, courageously defends religious freedom for all of our brave men and women proudly serving America’s best interest in our armed forces by protecting their freedom of religion, as well as their freedom from religion.

Mr. Weinstein and MRFF  will continue to honorably defend our men and women in uniform from religious bigotry even when it is wrapped in prayer. We will not remain silent or indifferent when a religious group, organization, or individual attempts to impose a particular religion on others. We will protect the rights of any individual denied his or her religious freedom.

Brave and courageous Americans, men and women of every faith, and some of no faith at all, have sacrificed much while serving our country and keeping us free. They have dedicated themselves to protecting equality for all. These brave and courageous men and women have come from every corner of our country; they include Muslims, Jews, Christians, Hindus, other religions, and Atheists. Together, our brothers and sisters have sacrificed their lives and limbs to keep us all free. It is for all of them that MRFF proudly and bravely opposes any and all efforts to institutionalize, or to allow the promotion of, any faith, as the faith of our United States Armed Forces. We are honored to take on this responsibility because without religious freedom for all of our men and women in uniform we are all made less equal.

Pedro Luis Irigonegaray
Counsel MRFF
