Leave the Marines alone!

Tell your buddy Mikey Weinstein that he has no idea what those men and women sacrifice on a daily basis for his lousy desk riding, pencil pushing behind. He demands punishment for those who have already suffered enough on our behalf. Well, then I demand that he put on a uniform and join those me before he makes any more demands. If this is the message that your organization sends out, then count me out and remove the words religious from your titles. You give those who truly support religious freedom a bad name. Shame on Mikey and shame on your organization!

Dear (name withheld),
Mikey and nearly all of MRFF’s staff are veterans. MRFF is representing 45 Marines who brought up this complaint. You may not see the problem here but I’m curious if you would defend KKK symbols if they were being used by a military unit. I understand that the historical significance of the SS lightning bolt symbol are not particularly well-known to a lot of people. In this particular case, though, the symbol is a part of the Marine’s hate group training and is already supposed to be prohibited. The leaders who allowed this can’t hide behind ignorace. There are about a billion ways to write “SS” and only one of them is a symbol of Nazi genocide. They knew exactly what they were flying because the only place to get the SS flag is a Nazi paraphenalia website. Yes, it’s gone on for a while. That’s not a point in their favor. It just indicates an ongoing pattern of negligent leadership.
