Less than a week after Marine officials apologized for the use of a Nazi SS logo in a photo of a sniper platoon in Afghanistan, the military is fighting back against allegations that a base in the country was allegedly called “Combat Outpost Aryan.”
The term Aryan is usually associated with white supremacist groups, said Military Religious Freedom Foundation attorney Randal Mathis in a letter to defense secretary Leon Panetta.
