Thank you for being a voice of reason and justice

Just want to anonymously thank you for the work you do. Though short, my time in the Air Force was contaminated by colonel after colonel cramming his version of Jesus into subordinate’s faces. And if Airmen, like myself, didn’t talk to the bosses about the sermons we were listening to on our iPods during PT or comment positively on the praise music blasting from his office, we were viewed as good-for-nothing heathens and our every action scrutinized (because clearly we must be getting into trouble on our off-duty time). Conversely, those that played along were given choice assignments and were taken under the boss’s wing, receiving more mentorship and training, awards, and recognition (and oddly enough, this was in a LEGAL office). I was raised in an evangelical home in Texas but firmly believe in separation of Church and State, ESPECIALLY in the military. Unfortunately, I understand why no Airmen ever step foot into the Equal Opportunity Office–it’s career suicide. Thank you for being a voice of reason and justice.
