Muslims praying in Pentagon

Are you trying to get this stopped?

Less than 100 feet from where a hijacked airplane slammed into the Pentagon, Muslim military personnel bring prayer rugs on weekday afternoons for group worship.

How can you allow a religious chapel in the Pentagon?

Hi Mary,

My name is Rick Baker an I’m a former Air Force Officer and rescue pilot and I currently volunteer for MRFF.

I have been asked to answer your questions concerning the Muslim Prayer at the Pentagon.

The Pentagon, like other military bases and installations is government property. Every permanent military installation has one or more chapels to accommodate each recognized religious belief system. Many Chapels are located in or near active facilities where military members work so as to provide proximity to them.

It is common for Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Airmen and others to stop by the chapels for prayer or contemplation.

Muslims are an integral part of all the religions practiced by armed forces members. Muslims also make up a sizeable contingent of the military. The fact that there was a foreign Muslim attack on the Pentagon does not condemn our American Muslim community as they were not involved and also condemn the act of violence of the foreign Muslims themselves.

I hope this answers your concerns.
