  • The Military Religious Freedom Foundation, run by former Air Force official Mikey Weinstein, petitioned the Army to remove a job posting that required applicants to “be of Christian faith” — and the Army apparently listened.
  • Mr. Weinstein called the “Christian faith” caveat “constitutionally noxious” and “an abhorrent nightmare,” the Army Times reported. His group sent a letter dated Nov. 6 demanding that the branch delete the requirement.
  • Shortly after, Army Secretary Anthony Stamilio wrote the MRFF and said the branch “removed all university preferences from our assignment postings,” the Army Times reported.
