A-holes of America

To Mikey and all your staff…..

How does it feel to be the “ASS HOLES OF AMERICA?”

That’s exactly what you are…and in my opinion you are violating the constitutional rights of every serviceman and woman!

Also…I think you should be banished from this country because I think you are absolutely ANTI-AMERICAN!

Very Sincerely,

(name withheld)

Dear (name withheld),

Since you addressed the “staff” of MRFF, I feel an obligation to respond.  Strictly speaking, I am an unpaid advisory group member, but “staff” will do nicely.
I was just having a conversation with several others about what is wrong with our republic today — we discussed what it is precisely that has led to unparallelled debt, incredibly bad governance, extremely weak business performance, distorted foreign and security policy, and world-class greed and hatred. We decided that at the root of it all is a sweeping ignorance among Americans.I suppose that, to use your expression more accurately and appropriately, these millions upon millions of ignorant people are “the assholes of America.”  They deny science, believe the earth to be less than 7,000 years old, think that Adam and Eve–people of myth at best anyway–lived with dinosaurs, that the theory of evolution is false by its very nature, that the Rapture is coming and humans should do all they can to expedite it, that global climate change is a hoax, and all manner of other utter nonsense. The Constitutional rights of every member of the U.S. Armed Forces are violated by law every day.  I know; I served for 31 years of those days.Servicemembers cannot openly and in uniform advocate for political candidates or their policies; they cannot take stands for highly controversial issues; they cannot object to directives they are given and must follow (unless they are illegal or unethical); they cannot “resign” any time they desire; when ordered to war, they must go; and they cannot advocate for one religion over others or over no religion at all—not in uniform and not in any place even remotely official.Brave, kind, decent and lawful servicememembers know all this and do not abide people who try to argue about it, as you have done.  In fact, people holding views such as yours are anathema to these good members of the US Armed Forces, many of whom are clients of the MRFF—usually because of people such as you.

Displacing your ignorance, now, and learning all this, whom do you believe is anti-American.  I know the answer.  Do you?

Colonel L. B. Wilkerson, US Army (Retired)

Hi (name withheld),

Good to know your thinking. You’re wrong, but don’t let that bother you.

What, exactly, is it that we’ve done that you consider to be anti-American?

Mike Farrell

(MRFF Board of Advisors)

Hi (name withheld),In reality, MRFF protects and insures the constitutional rights of all Armed Forces personnel. We do that in a number of ways.We are representing over 46,000 young armed forces members who have already filed complaints relevant to biased religious treatment by superiors, civilian personnel and others. We monitor all government publications and releases dealing with anything to do with religious practice in the military. We investigate any incidents in which personnel are religiously persecuted in any way and we are constantly available to all armed forces personnel for assistance.

I’m afraid that you have severely misjudged MRFF and our goals. The fact that you have missed our true goals indicates a closed mentality when dealing with subjects the nature of which are beyond the scope of your abilities to fathom.
