You guys are a bunch of homosexuals and lesbians are you not? True only to your sexual perversions? Not a patriotic bone in your body? Rampant with Hiv and disease, eager for others to be like you? Filth in NM.

Dear (name withheld),

I am writing in response to your May 17, 2015 email to the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (“MRFF”).  I have had the privilege of responding to many emails received by MRFF and I usually explain MRFF’s purpose, which is to protect the religious freedom of all soldiers, sailors, Marines, cadets, and veterans.  Yet, your email does not mention anything about religious freedom, but only claims that its board members and volunteers are “homosexuals and lesbians” who you assume to be “rampant with [HIV] and disease.”  This statement is childish, hateful, and ignorant on a number of levels.

I am tempted to explain how sexual orientation has no connection with patriotism, that most sexually transmitted diseases are actually more prevalent among heterosexuals, etc.  However, you clearly gave up on learning long ago.  I somehow doubt that someone who cannot even form a complete sentence would understand complex ideas, such as religious freedom or sexual politics.

Instead, I simply suggest that you retreat back into your own lonely world and perhaps entertain yourself with that nine-piece jigsaw puzzle that has had you stumped for weeks.  MRFF is busy defending the Constitutional rights of the men and women in uniform who so bravely fight for our rights.

Blessed be,

Tobanna Barker
