Bunch of dumbasses

Leave the damn sign in Hawaii alone.  Bunch of nuts

Hi (name withheld),

There are certainly bunches of nuts and dumbasses running around these days. It’s amazing how many of them send rude messages without knowing what they’re talking about.

The “damn sign” you refer to should be on the chapel grounds, as suggested by the MRFF. Where it is, it is illegal and sends an inappropriate message. If placed properly it would be no problem for anyone.

If you’re open to reason, here’s a grateful acknowledgement from a Marine officer:

Good Afternoon,

I am writing because I have seen the news regarding the Military Religious Freedom foundation contacting the Marine Corps Base Hawaii Commanding Officer regarding the removal of the God Bless the Military sign.

I would like to add my support for the removal of the sign from the current location and it’s movement to either the chapel or off the base completely. I am a commissioned officer with XX years of service in the Marines and am currently stationed at XX. I drive by this sign every day, and do not think it is appropriate as it gives the impression that the military endorses one religion over another. I have not filed a formal complaint through my chain of command as I feel there would be repercussions, however if there is anything I can do to help in the effort to move the sign, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you,
(U.S. Marine Officer’s name, rank, MOS and unit withheld)

If you’re not open to reason, there’s little I can do to help you out of the ranks you’ve chosen.

Yes maybe I shouldn’t have been so rude

But apparently that is what it takes these days, everyone fighting over small things instead of the real major problems we are facing today, such as Russia, oh and the Islamic state and oh by the way the  wonderful Iran deal. I believe those issues are just a little bit more important.

(name witthheld)

No, actually, rudeness has a tendency to cut off meaningful communication. As it happens, many of our associates are working on the very issues you cite here. It’s amazing how much can be accomplished when thoughtful people engage enough to understand the issues and try to communicate rationally.

And, while it may surprise you, some of the issues you suggest are unimportant do need to be dealt with in order for our society to function properly. Not only that, humans being as capable as they are, things can be dealt with simultaneously.

We understand because the media does rile people up and make it out to be
Christian persecution. Apology accepted. 🙂
Like I stated, 80% of the people involved with MRFF and 96% of our clients
are Christians. If Christian persecution was going on we would be long gone.
May God bless your socks off!

Yes thank you for that insight.  You mentioned things I hadn’t thought
about.  It clears up  a lot.  Yes sometimes my temper gets away with me. And
that is not a good thing.  Again I do apologies for that comment.

What you can do is print out the info I sent you and if anyone is fooled by

the media against us, show it to them. We need to get the word out that we

are not the monsters we’re made out to be.

You ares so right about the media and I should have caught that.  But again
thank you for that information.   And I am proud of all our military . I
would do anything for anyone of them if I could.  I was one at one time.
And should have known better.  I will leave you alone now.  Thank you.

It’s ok…no worries. 🙂
