A hearty Navy “BRAVO ZULU” (ancient signal flags flying from the yardarm, still aboard Navy ships; meaning, Well Done) to you!

Congratulations on getting the local USAF Dover, DE, AMC Squadron Commander back on the unit cohesion priority, and the secular Constitution path. Hopefully, this also beneficially impacted Air Mobility Cmd, Scott AFB further up the food chain, for worldwide impact.

This reminds of a 2004 DE National Guard incident, whereby “volunteers” IN UNIFORM, had been soliciting the public for donations every December, for prior 6 years, exclusively benefiting a Christian evangelical organization (Salvation Army, DE branch).

As a Navy retired O-6, I (with background advice from a USAF retired O-6) was able to convince the DE MG (O-8) that this collection protocol was a mis-use/abuse of the uniform, and he quietly ceased the military connection.
I have no problem with junior military in mufti, true volunteers, spending off duty time raising charity funds for anything legit. But never when in uniform of US, and never when a senior officer or senior enlisted is asking for “volunteers” of those standing in military formation, or in one-on-one military “interviews”, for something NOT MISSION RELATED. That’s very poor personal leadership when the objective is sectarian, as well as illegal.

Defending the secular Constitution and the unit cohesion of the Armed Forces requires constant command and citizen vigilance. Sometimes its enemies are not outside the US, and are not armed.
Best, (name withheld)
