Too bad

I will oppose you. You can not stop me.  I am retired.  I often go to military bases. I will be watching.  Perhaps I should just pray for you.

Dear (name withheld),

What are you watching for?  What do you want to see?  We won’t stop defending the constitution.  We won’t stop empathizing with service members in trouble.

If theocracy is your goal, we’ll stay enemies.  If you care about people, regardless of their religious perspective, we’re allies in the making.

Dear (name withheld),
Go for it, (name withheld). And in your spare time, read the Constitution.

(MRFF Board of Advisors)

Hi (name withheld) –

Thanks for writing, and thanks for your prayers. I’m a lifelong, committed and active Christian myself, so I really appreciate the value and power of prayer.
That said, I’m sorry to hear that you “oppose” the efforts of the MRFF because I think there is a good chance that your opposition is based upon inaccurate information.  We are not anti-Christian. We are not anti-religion.  Rather, we are pro-Constitution advocacy group. Specifically, our sole mission is to help ensure that all members of the United States Armed Forces fully receive the Constitutional guarantee of religious freedom to which they and all Americans are entitled by virtue of the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. Just as importantly, we don’t operate in a vacuum. Our involvement in issues involving military members are always the result of a request for assistance.  So unless you are saying that you are opposed to Constitutional protections for all military members, there is nothing you should find objectionable about the efforts of the MRFF.
But again, thanks for your prayers and thanks for your service.
