The Bible teaches that every knee will bow before the ‘risen’ Lord, so as the saying goes, “you can do it now, or do it later.”
With all the bad behavior by college football players: Johnny Football, FSU QBs out of control, let the kids pray!

P.S. Read Urban Meyer’s book called Above the Line – he was Tebow’s coach and also encourages prayer at OSU (maybe another lawsuit for you)
Hi (name withheld),You misunderstand. OSU is a state university; USAFA is a military organization. The mission of the MRFF is to ensure the protection of the separation of church and state. A military organization cannot, per law and military regulation, promote one religious faith over others.
If the kids choose to “take a kneel and pray” on their own, usually in private, no one would have a problem with it. But an organized action by a military unit, in public, in which some of the members feel obliged to join for fear of being ostracized if they don’t, crosses the line.
The Bible isn’t relevant here, law and regulation are. No one is saying these boys can’t believe what they choose to believe; what we’re saying is that what they believe is a private matter and others who do not share that belief cannot be pressured to conform.
It is those who have felt pressured to conform who have come to the MRFF for help because they fear speaking out or refusing to go along will cost them dearly.
Best,
Mike Farrell
