Hey Mikey,
Are these religious rank insignia also a violation of your precious separation of church and state? You are a great encyclopedia of facts, but devoid of proper intetpretation, because you wrongfully use those facts to further your own agenda, rather than learning from them.

 Dear (name withheld),
These are not military “rank” insignia, but chaplain insignia or non-official pseudo-military patches purchased from a civilian retailer. Military chaplains are authorized to provide military worship services in a military setting for those military members who choose to attend them & spiritual counseling for those military members who choose to receive it. Additionally, please see the attached.

It is obvious now that you have no interest in a rational adult dialogue about our Constitution, religion & the military. As a 75 year old American disabled veteran (Vietnam) & retired Army airborne officer, it has been my observation that someone who resorts to hateful name-calling does so because they cannot or will not address a subject with intelligence or integrity. One can observe this childish behavior on any elementary school playground. Shalom or, as we say at our West Texas ranch, Happy Trails.
