You and I have been down this road before, Mikey. The Air Force has an obligation to insure that its chaplains understand the role that they play in the military system. Those who are unable to abide by the definitions and job description ought to be weeded out. They do not lend to unit or mission cohesion. In fact, they do quite the opposite by creating competition and bigotry against those not of their persuasion. This is both divisive and dangerous because the bonds of fighting members must be strong enough to put all else aside save the mission or our people will die.
That this chaplain places his “faith” over military’s priorities demonstrates his unworthiness to wear his chaplain’s insignia and the uniform. He ought either to resign his commission or be summarily removed.
You can quote me on this.
