Mr. Starnes,

I don’t know if you read my last email to you or not but I must respond to the video I just watched.

The military is made up of people of many faiths who all serve our country honorably.  They ALL deserve recognition for their service.  The Constitution says clearly that the government will not show favoritism for one religion over any other religion or belief.  The display of the Bible is an overt connection to all Christians of which I am one.  How do we show recognition to POW-MIA servicemen and women of other faiths or no faith?  The display started with no book of any kind.  I’m sure, a well meaning Christian placed a Bible there not considering others who did not believe as they do.  The generic book of faith you spoke of tries to address the variety of faiths in the military.  If the generic book is unacceptable, is the answer NO book representing any faith?  That would seem to do a disservice to all POW-MIAs.  If a Christian is so offended by the lack of reference to the Bible, then I suggest they need to reevaluate the strength of their Christian convictions.

I would appreciate a response to this email showing you received it.

Thank you
