Why don’t you fight for improvement at the VA, “sport,” instead of these ridiculous lawsuits over someone’s butthurt over a display that represents comfort to the vast majority of the POWs and MIAs. I’ll bet the majority of veterans support the display. Whether it reflects Christianity or not the country was indisputably founded on Christian values. “In God We Trust.” Not Allah, not Buddha, etc, etc. The display is not calling for Christianity to be recognized as the official religion of the United States. Our founding fathers would be on another ship looking for somewhere to try again. Next you guys will be trying to go after the 2nd amendment if you aren’t already. I won’t waste my time delving into your organization’s stance on anything else nor anymore time writing useless emails. I served for 24 years for your right to do what you do and would do it again. Have fun “sport” and don’t waste your time replying. Just delete or label me as spam. I wouldn’t want to intrude on your time fighting for the butthurt few. Good grief…

…nope, my friend, the USA was NOT at all founded on “Christian principles”…it was founded on Enlightenment principles….we have a wonderful Constitution that does NOT place “Christianity” in ANY position of supremacy vs. ANY other faith or no faith…perhaps you never took a civil class in high school?!…and if you did not graduate from high school may I heartily recommend not giving up and going after that GED??… is the key to your grater understanding, (name withheld)!!…:)

What is wrong with evangelical Christians putting their religious scripture version in the middle of non-religious POW/MIA remembrance dinner table displays to publicly proselytize their private religious beliefs?
It is wrong because it (1) disobeys the US Constitution, US Armed Forces regulations & established American law, (2) distorts the original non-religious public purpose of POW/MIA remembrance by promoting their private religious scripture version, (3) distracts from non-religious POW/MIA remembrance by promoting religious beliefs not shared by all POWs, MIAs, military members & Americans, (4) disregards common dinner table settings that do not include religious scripture, & (5) disrespects millions of American military & civilians who are not evangelical Christians.

Wrong, (name withheld), as you’d know if you took the time to understand what we do.

What I’d be willing to bet on, though, is if there in fact was a Quran on display you

and many of the faux-Christians we hear from would be on the warpath.

Read up a little before casting judgment. It’ll make you smarter;

Well gee, (name withheld)! I responded to your original email without even having had the displeasure of reading

this revealing follow-up. No surprise to find out how right I was.

No need to quiver in your boots; you 2nd Amendment is safe from us. But you apparently understand

it about as well as you do the 1st.

How sad that you understand the founding principles of this country so poorly.
