Mr. Weinstein and the MRFF,

I am writing you on behalf of over a dozen of us at (overseas military installation name withheld) which you all helped us to stop being forced against our wills to attend the National Prayer Breakfast which happened recently. I am Christian but many of us who asked the MRFF to help are also not Christians.

Our Commander and his Exec.Staff sent out an e-mail about this event and it was made very clear that, though technically ‘voluntary’ it was really expected that we attend.

The chosen speaker was a evangelical pastor who used to be in the military. He is totally not inclusive of other faiths and is very anti-Muslim and anti-LGBTQ.

We called Mikey Weinstein to get things going. Mikey got us in touch with the MRFF rep at (overseas military installation name withheld) and then they both spoke tried to get ahold of our Commander and his staff. But no one would take those calls. So Mikey and the MRFF rep spoke instead to our JAG and PA staffers.

It took only those couple of calls to fix this mess.

Suddenly the prayer breakfast invite was changed so it came from our Chaplains instead of our Commander.

This made all the difference.

Thank you to Mr. Mikey Weinstein and the MRFF for taking our complaints and getting it all fixed despite our Commander refusing to even talk to you all.

HOOAH MRFF!! (Active Duty U.S. Military member’s name, rank, MOS, duty title, unit and installation all withheld)
