Dr. Lloyd V. Hackley (USAF Ret.) on how MRFF’s uncovering of the connection between our U.S. Military and the White Religious Establishment is among the most dangerous phenomena besetting America today

Dear Mikey,

I consider this connection you have uncovered between the Military and the White religious establishment to be among the most dangerous phenomena besetting America today.

Throughout history to the very present day wherever morality has been based on Theology, wherever right is made dependent on Divine Authority, the most immoral, unjust, heinous and violent actions have been perpetrated and justified (from Ludwig Feuerbach).  The animosity toward those other people of different religious persuasions by members of America’s hate groups puts them in the same mental category with the senseless fanatics who loathe others so deeply that they strap bombs to themselves to blow them up, or fly planes into buildings.  As Voltaire said, they believe absurdities, so they commit atrocities.  One blatant absurdity is that dying in their effort to kill others will assure them a place in their “heaven.”

I know you will continue your work and for that I am grateful.

Dr. Lloyd V. Hackley
USAF (Ret.)
