Subject: Thank you, Mikey and MRFF!

Dear Friends:

My long familiarity with the work of Mikey and the MRFF informs this message of heartfelt thanks to the organization for the defense of some of the most self-sacrificing and most vulnerable people in our republic, servicemen and servicewomen victimized for standing up for freedom of conscience.

As a Quaker Christian author, translator, and journalist of thirty years’ standing, I am proud of vindicating through my writing my own centuries-old faith tradition of open-minded search for the truth and tolerance of difference. As the daughter of a Korean War veteran – a lifelong Methodist and a Sunday School teacher – who had been wounded, promoted, and decorated on the battlefield, I can’t adequately express my revulsion at the neofascists who drag the name of Christianity through the sewage and slime by insisting on what would have appalled the religion’s founders: forced conversions.

I don’t know of any outfit as effective against destructive radicalization as the MRFF. Other nonprofits in and around this field lobby against abuses, “raise awareness about best practices,” tut-tut about assaults on the constitution and lives ruined as collateral damage. The MRFF rushes to the aid of victims, punishes victimizers, and shores up key institutions, all while constantly suffering the most vile threats from those who claim to be the “best” followers of Jesus Christ. The religious extremist Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives are even trying to effectively outlaw the MRFF, by making it a military felony for any soldier to reach out to the organization. This unprecedented outrage against the constitution speaks to the unique power of the MRFF against ongoing efforts to take our rights – and our country – apart.

    Very well said Ms. Ruden,

I wish we had more Christians speaking out against the Neo-fascists Republicans that have hijacked Christianity, weaponizing it to subvert the people of the United States and create their Crusaders for Christ military, in their coveted Gilead.

It is Christians themselves taking back their religion that will temper the zealotry of the right in this country, which makes your voice more powerful in terms of recognition within the collective Christian community that we have a problem.

Christianity has been stolen and it’s time for Christians to stand up and tell the neo-fascists that they’re no longer welcome in the Christian camp.

The right-wing in this country is to Christianity what Attila-the-Hun is to being “woke!”

Thousands of Americans have fought and died in the fight against the very same fascism that’s alive and well and existentially threatening the very fabric of our Democracy.

All fomented by a charlatan grifter, hell bent on the establishment of a kingdom subservient to himself and his despicable progeny, in perpetuity, his “retribution” a royal decree, a portent of things to come.

Mr. Weinstein “runs to the sound of guns,” a metaphorical reference to Marines and Soldiers in combat taking the fight to the enemy!

Their is no greater enemy today than those that would subjugate the will of the people to their extremists Christian National ideology of Dominionist control, particularly with regards to our secular military.

We’ll said Madam. Thank you for sharing.

Sarah Rudin’s comments don’t mention, perhaps implies – I don’t want to put words on the page for her, that the steroidal empowerment of the neofascist Christian Right lie at the feet of the Supreme Neofascist himself, Donald small-hands Trump, Republicans around the country in fealty competition with each other to show that they can out kiss Trump’s big fat white ass!

But the reign of terror is over as Trump gets closer and closer to that designer jump suit, orange being his new black!

His years of racketeering exposed and brought to a judicial head by, ironically, three black women!

Remember Trump’s New York Times attack on the “Central Park Five?” Trump called for the death sentence for five innocent black men wrongly accused of rape, taking out a full page ad in the New York Times against these innocent black men, Trump himself having been found guilty of the sexual assault of Jean Carroll, who is about to make more money off Donald “The Mouth” (as he’s known in mob circles), for a second iteration of defamation!

And now his crimes finally being brought to justice. Of course it’s a which-hunt, meaning, which crimes are going to be punished first?

All ten of Trump’s corporations dissolved in the State of New York, the clarion call of Lady Justice prevails, “I am your restitution!”

Eric Trump saying Mar A Lago is worth a Billion dollars. Trump, in his deposition had it listed at almost a Billion. The State of Florida and Zillow has it listed at $24 million!

Trump says he had a “Worthless Clause” in his valuations, a Freudian self assessment!

Remember Trump saying the 2016 election was “rigged?” Until I wasn’t! Until he won. Then it was a fair election!

The difference between a Democrat and a Republican is that if you give them both a Ferrari, the Democrat will sell it and buy cars for everyone in his family.

The Republican, on the other hand, won’t even use the Ferrari! He’ll use the key to scratch up the paint of all the other cars around it!

The power base for the Christian Right in this country comes from none other than the man-baby himself, but the toddler’s tantrums have grown old, and so too has the country’s parental tolerance for their feaux self-proclaimed persecution and bullying.

    Particularly in our secular military!

Christians – take back your religion!
