Beyond Outrageous!!! MRFF Demands Action After Marine Colonel Commands Wounded Warrior Battalion to be Healed by Jesus!!! Plus Breaking NDAA News!
Excerpts from the email of one of MRFF’s forty-two shocked and appalled Marine and USMC civilian employee clients present at the mandatory battalion-event-turned-faith-healing spectacle:
“The Colonel said things such as:
‘I know God can heal each one of you.’
‘Seek a relationship with Jesus. You will be changed.’
‘You can be healed by faith in Jesus.’
‘This Marine over here was healed by his faith in Jesus.’
‘I was healed by Jesus.’”
“At the end of the Colonel’s sermon, he again raised his hand in prayer for the third time and commanded all present to be healed in Jesus’ name.”

Sounds like Jesus never actually healed the Colonel’s brain cancer, after all. So sad.
Damn! That’s great news! Instead of spending $270 Billion a year on the VA, we can just get Jesus to take care of our military injuries! Woohoo!
I’ll bet that Marine Colonel will be one of the first in line at the VA with his hand out for some of that monthly retirement-supplementing disability compensation once he retires!
Times have definitely changed! Course I’m old but when I was in the Marine Corps they told us the reason little boys have wet dreams – because God sucks! True story!
Course, that was at the tail end of the Vietnam cannon-fodder era, another one of those Christian started wars where the United States got its ass kicked and didn’t change anything. Led today by a communist party we went there to stop!
But there’s just something wrong with the picture of a Marine Colonel getting troops together with a message from Jesus, “OK, let’s all hold hands now and pray to our Lord and Savior! You Marines are so cute when you hold hands with each other!”

This fucking Colonel, true to his own fundamentalism, won’t credit doctors and the medical care he received for his cure from brain cancer! Un-fucking-real!
Remember the Doctor years ago that contracted Ebola on a trip to Africa to help with the Ebola crises? He was evacuated back to the United States and “saved” by medical care here at home. But when it came time for his press conference, with the Doctors that cured him standing behind him, he thanked Jesus Christ! If it was Jesus Christ that saved you, you could have stayed your ass in Africa!
I think going forward, if devout Christians contract an illness, they should do us all a favor and forego the medical treatment. Save us the money – just pray! Jesus will answer your prayers! You don’t need medical care! Medical care is inadequate anyway given the power of the Creator of the Universe!
Religion has only put us back, in terms of technological progress, by about a thousand years!
We have a like-minded religious nut job running the House of Representatives! He claimed God himself talked to him and referred to him as Moses!
These are the folks across the country who are forcing women to carry a dead fetus to term! They wanted to force a nine year old rape victim to carry to term. A ten year old raising a child! Now there’s some Christian-fucking-values! Alabama instituted an abortion ban from conception!
They’re not pro-life, they’re pro-birth! If the child is born into poverty – it sucks to be that child! Just another contribution to the Industrial Prison Industry!
Here’s to hoping the MRFF’s visibility on this Colonel will bring on a quick exit into retirement!
From day one of basic training, we are taught to use the change of command to rectify a complaint. It sounds like these Marines were never taught that.
I do believe in freedom of religion. I spent 20 years in the Air Force defending that freedom. I have worked with airmen from all religions. I never let my Christian faith interfere with their beliefs.

Gsst seems to believe that a commanding officer forcing his religion on those under his command is no big deal. But we all know Gsst would be complaining loudly if he or she was on the receiving end of the abuse, violations of military regulations, and constitutional rights violations doled out in this case and in others.
Good for you Joe Beavers. You’re the exception by today’s standard given the move to “Christianize” this whole country, particularly in our military where they have captive audiences.
As it turns out, Christian Zionism, as one example, long preceded Jewish Zionism, albeit with very different goals. One wanting a homeland for Jewish people, the other wanting to bring about the end-times and convert Jews into the Christian fold. The Christian faction in disagreement over the “Messiah,” hell-bent on the imposition of mythical madness on everyone!
And of course, Israel LOVES the Christian fundamentalists because they’re so stupid, so easily led by the wallet to support Israel, so easily duped. It’s like taking candy from a baby! Christians are more fervently supportive of Israel than even Jews are, their end-times goals so easy to exploit.
Good for you in terms of your faith and military service. It’s really up to you to get out the word to your Christian brethren, to take back your religion from the ultra-Nationalistic nut jobs that seem to have a strangle hold on Christianity in the United States.
They follow and support Trump like cultists following Jim Jones, a death by political cyanide our collective fate as they take down the whole country in their Titan submersible that will end democracy in this country. You won’t even hear the hull groaning from the pressure of their own idiocracy, it’ll just simply implode, taking us all with it, democracy a remnant as they celebrate their new Christianized theocratic prison, completely oblivious to their diminishing returns on life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, their lowered standard of living completely denied as they continue to support Team-Christian!
