Hoisted With His Own Petard: How GOP Rep. Mike Turner’s Failed Attempt to Shut MRFF Down Will Make MRFF More Effective than Ever!
Last Friday, immediately upon President Biden’s signing the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), we reported the magnificent news that Christian nationalist Rep. Mike Turner’s attempt to shut MRFF down had not only failed but completely backfired. Turner’s utterly unconstitutional NDAA amendment to shut us down had been replaced in the final bill by a Senate amendment that will allow MRFF to be even more effective than ever!
Now, as promised, we now very pleased to share the details.
Once again, we at MRFF want to express our deepest gratitude to all of our supporters who wrote to and called their representatives and senators and otherwise supported us during what was a very long and uncertain six months.
And, to Rep. Mike Turner, MRFF would, with the utmost sincerity, like to say:

Great news indeed! Now if we can get rid of the likes of Mike Turner and his ilk from Congress, we’ll be the much better for it.
I love the idea of the “friendly” phone call to a Commander. Kind of an “I’ve got your back Commander! Kind of helping you out by keeping your fame in proportion to your position”! Sunlight – such a great disinfectant!
Mikey can still go to the offending Commander’s boss’s boss just to let him know he has a subordinate officer under his charge that’s going to get the boss’s boss more visibility than he ever wanted!
Yep! That one failed “Bigly!” The MRFF has been empowered by Mike Turner’s ill-advised Christian Nationalist stupidity! He strengthened the MRFF! You like apples Mike? How’d you like them green apples?
Most of these Christian Nationalists, hobbled by their own religion, are more than a few bricks shy of a full load anyway!
Christianity makes people say and do stupid things, which, once out, forces them to defend their own idiocracy, a compounding effect leading to a bigger hole for themselves.
Great victory for our secular military! Let’s get back to focusing on combat readiness rather than Christian hand-holding at the Commander’s house!

Great article, but one is “HOIST by his own petard,.” not hoisted. A petard was a BOMB, not a rope. One is “hoist,” or blown into the air, if it goes off prematurely.
Jskskj says we’re doomed. That is true of all animals on earth. But that doesn’t change the facts stated in the article, does it? It’s a good thing there are still some patriotic, law-abiding lawmakers in Congress.
Let’s see what they say when the US, on behalf of, and in conjunction with, Israel, attacks Iran and sends your Christian sons and daughters off to fight yet another war. “Hey, just bringing about the end- times! You know, God’s plan!” He’s old now and his supernatural powers are not what they used to be, needs our help!
Remember when Netanyahu, using a cartoon picture of a bomb taken from Mad magazine, drew a red line across the top of it trying to show how close Iran was to a nuclear weapon, telling the world Iran was literally days and weeks away from their first nuclear weapon (while Israel holds hundreds), trying to thwart Obama’s JCPOA negotiations?
And that was how many years ago? Iran still without a nuclear weapon, Israel now beating the drums for US-led war against Iran again? Wanting YOUR sons and daughters to go fight for Israel!

The media spin machine is good for telling you which way the manufactured-consent wind is blowing. We NEVER go to war without media support. Israel is already calling for US attacks on Iran, you know, cut off the head of the snake and other platitudes to foment hatred and gain support among the sheeple.
Watch the news coverage as the next weeks and months go by. A way to shift focus on the ongoing Israeli carnage is to blame Iran. – “Iranian-backed” in everything you hear. We’ve already bombed Syria and Iraq in retaliation for “Iranian-backed” militia attacks on US forces.
Of course, the question of why the fuck we still have troops there would never be asked! “It’s to prevent the resurgence of Al Qaeda!” Last time I checked, Syria is a sovereign country that we just happen to invite ourselves into, militarily. Really? Like having Russia put troops into Wichita Kansas!
If you see the coverage ramp up on Iran and its Iranian-backed proxies, you’ll know we’re getting closer to attacking Iran. Throw in a couple of made-up skirmishes with Iranian gunboats in the straight of Hormuz and it’s off to war we go!
We can bomb the shit out of them 24/7, but boots-on-the-ground? We’ll get our asses kicked.
